Internet Advertising Scams
By Kelley Kilanski
Advertising is an important aspect of business. Without advertising, who
would know what you're selling or what services you provide? Advertising
is the life blood of any successful business.
One of the many scams to hit the internet in reponse to many businesses, both
large and small, building websites to advertise their products is low cost
advertising scams. These scams come in many forms.
Another type of advertising that has been subjected to scam artists is the pay-per-click campaign. This type of ad campaign means the advertiser pays for each click on their ad, whether it be a text or banner ad. There are many reputable search engines that do deliver the goods as promised, but this form of advertising can be easily hacked and clicks can be generated automatically by certain programs. Many search engines are working hard to detect automated clicks, and you should be aware of how search engines deal with this issue.
The key point to remember when advertising on the internet is to get to know the company you're advertising with. The company should have a good reputation that can be backed up by customer comments and a history of reliable performance. One thing about the internet, is that if a company doesn't do what it claims, there is sure to be an article about it somewhere and not more than a few searches and clicks away.
